I am a general cardiologist and see a wide range of patients. I provide expert reports on all areas of cardiology including cardiomyopathy, coronary disease, heart valve disease and aortic disease. I am a specialist in diagnostic testing, and head of cardiac imaging and physiology in Oxford, with particular expertise in cardiovascular magnetic resonance.

My clinical and research interests are in heart valve disease, aortic disease and cardiomyopathies.

I have published widely (>100 papers), given many national and international lectures and am editor of the Oxford Handbooks of Cardiology Emergencies, Valve Disease and Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. I qualified from the University of Bristol and completed further training in London and Oxford.

I produce around 50 expert reports a year, for both claimant and defence teams, including many national solicitors, the Medical Protection Society and Medical Defence Union, and I am also an expert witness for the GMC. My experience includes civil cases, including the High Court and employment tribunals, as well as criminal cases and for the Court of Protection. I have also undertaken Bond-Solon expert witness training, and am a holder of the Cardiff University-Bond Solon expert witness certificate in civil law.
