Dr Zaiwalla has prepared medicolegal reports for the court and has been called as an expert witness in her areas of expertise throughout her career as an NHS consultant. She has first hand knowledge of the distress to patients and professionals and expense incurred by the Health Services during the long legal process of medicolegal cases . This prompted her to train as a mediator to support an alternative pathway to resolve issues when possible via mediation, to the satisfaction of all parties.
Dr Zaiwalla trained as a mediator with Society of Mediators, Strand and is accredited mediator with the Civil Mediation Council.
