Dr Zenobia Zaiwalla MRCP, FRCP, FRCPCH

Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology with special interest in Epilepsy and Sleep disorders, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

Accredited Mediator:  member of Society of Mediators and Civil Mediation Council.

Dr Zaiwalla trained in adult and paediatric neurology, before pursuing her interest in paediatric epilepsy,  neurophysiology and sleep disorders while she was a consultant at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. She was actively involved in teaching and training and developing guidelines and management pathways during her medical career. She retired from her substantial NHS post in September 2018, but continues to support the service as Honorary Consultant at the John Radcliffe Hospital and has full registration with the General Medical Council.

Dr Zaiwalla  has prepared medicolegal reports for the court and has been called as an expert witness in her areas of expertise throughout her career as an NHS consultant. She has first hand knowledge of the distress to patients and professionals and expense incurred by the Health Services during the long legal process of medicolegal cases . This prompted her to train as a mediator to support an alternative pathway to resolve issues when possible via mediation, to the satisfaction of all parties.

Dr Zaiwalla trained as a mediator with Society of Mediators, Strand and is accredited mediator with the Civil Mediation Council.
